Want to make a difference today?

A community of women and children in Togo need your help to buy an oven. But it’s far more than just an oven – it’s a stepping stone toward sustainable change. This oven is the key piece to Baza Bakery – a new program that will serve some of the most at-risk women and children in the community by providing nutrition today and the building blocks for a self-sufficient tomorrow.

But don’t take my word for it – listen to Afrik explain it herself.

And it all starts with that simple oven. Help make their dreams a reality. All donations large and small make a difference. Thanks for your help to create this lasting change.

    Baza Bakery’s Model for Change

Here’s how Baza Bakery will create change throughout the community.
Baza Bakery will bake and sell bread + pastries for distribution through local hotels and markets.
All profits benefit Baza’s school program and orphanages providing recurring revenue to these great programs.
At risk, women can access discounted baked goods to start their own small business.
Youth from Baza’s orphanages will intern at the bakery to acquire skills and prepare for future self-sufficiency.

If you give $ 50, we will send you “Thank you letter” from one of the kids

If you give $100 we will send you one of these items.

If you give $200 we will send you one of these items.

If you give $500 and more we will send you one of these items.

The items are made by the orphans of CEHBED orphanage. This their way to say thank you for funding the Bakery.

This is Brenda’s story as told by her. She lost her father a few years back and has 4 siblings. She is the 3rd born. Her eldest sister did not attend school and her elder brother stopped in P.7. She is very interested in studying but her sick mother does not have the means to pay her school fees. Any effort towards supporting Brenda will be much appreciated. Let’s put our hands together.

”I am Brenda N. Promise aged 13. I completed P.7 in 2017 at Ttula Primary school. English was my best subject. I started my education from St. Claver Primary School. In primary three I took the second position in class but when I was promoted to Primary Four, the first term seemed a little difficult for me. However, things got better when I showed more determination in second term. I later changed the school and was taken to Ttula Primary School in Primary Five. I feared there were many pupils who were bright but I was surprised when I was the best in the three subjects (English, Social Studies and Science). The teacher told me to add more effort in Maths so that I succeed in all subjects. I tried my best in second term and the teacher was very proud of me. In third term I was the 5th out of 35 pupils and was promoted to Primary 6. Primary 6 was not difficult for me and I performed very well. When I was promoted to Primary 7 I was very happy but I found Math and Science very difficult. The teacher used to tell me that ‘If you do not love the teacher you cannot pass the subject’ so when I tried to listen to what I was told, [I managed to sit for the Primary Leaving Exams].

My mother had no money but she tried hard to pay my school fees. But now she is sick and does not have energy to work a lot. She wanted me to study and she took me to Freedom High School in this term but I have not completed it because she was sick and could not raise the money.”
